Volleyball Game Preview: Wayland Academy Big Red vs. Dodgeland Trojans

Wayland Academy is 1-8 against Dodgeland since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Big Red will face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Wayland Academy came up short against Madison Country Day and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14, 23-25, 25-8.

Dodgeland not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Cambria-Friesland as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Dodgeland never let Cambria-Friesland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-13.

Wayland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-27. As for Dodgeland, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Wayland Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Dodgeland in their previous matchup back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Alexis Bingen, who had 14 digs and six aces.
