Dimond is a perfect 10-0 against Eagle River since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lynx will look to defend their home pitch against Wolves at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Dimond's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Eagle River has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Dimond is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Bettye Davis East Anchorage, who was ranked 13th at the time (Dimond was ranked third). Neither the Lynx nor the Thunderbirds could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result kept Dimond happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 12th.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Eagle River was not quite Chugiak's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 7-0.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. Dimond's draw gives them a new season record of 8-2-1.

Everything went Dimond's way against Eagle River in their previous meeting back in March, as Dimond made off with a 12-0 win. Do the Lynx have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
