Baseball Recap: North Warren Central Beats Schroon Lake for Their Fourth Straight Win

North Warren Central strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Schroon Lake Wildcats a 10-0 shutout.

Wyatt Jennings made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Jennings is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Owen Scheafer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Will Lindsley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

North Warren Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Warren Central pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Schroon Lake, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
