Softball Recap: Riverdale Country Falcons vs. Dalton Tigers
After flying high against Trinity on Monday, Riverdale Country came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Dalton Tigers on Wednesday, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 on April 9th.

E V was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
V wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Shin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Shin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Joselyn Raposa was another, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Riverdale Country's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dalton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.
