Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the C.A. Johnson Hornets at home by a 49-30 margin. One positive for the Capitals, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Columbia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aalisah Davis, who went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for C.A. Johnson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-4 defeat against Richland Northeast on the 14th. As for C.A. Johnson, they will head out to face off against Great Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
