Volleyball Recap: Manteo Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Manteo suffered their biggest defeat since October 15, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Camden County Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14, 27-25.

Despite the loss, Manteo still got an impressive performance from Easton Alexander, who had 13 digs and four aces. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jazmine Cooper also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Manteo's defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2. As for Camden County, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-3.

Manteo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Holmes on the 23rd. As for Camden County, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gates County on the 23rd.
