Beverly Hills has gone a perfect 10-0 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Normans will head out to square off against the Apaches at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beverly Hills has five straight wins, Centennial has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Beverly Hills barely beat Lawndale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Normans were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Cardinals last Thursday. The Normans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Jake Carlson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Beverly Hills let Zain Shah and Ty Sayles run wild. Shah went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Sayles went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Shah has become a key player for Beverly Hills: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise. Joshua Wi was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Beverly Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Centennial lost 12-3 to Compton on Saturday.
Beverly Hills' record now sits at 6-4. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
