Recap: The Daniel Academy Lions vs. Frontier STEM
The Daniel Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 82-21 victory over Frontier STEM. The Daniel Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.
The Daniel Academy had a senior duo take command as Jesse Yap scored 33 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds and Chris W dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yap has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Lee, who scored eight points along with ten steals and seven rebounds.
The win (which was The Daniel Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Frontier STEM, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
The Daniel Academy will take on Liberty Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully The Daniel Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. Frontier STEM does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
