Preview: Enterprise Wildcats vs. Daphne Trojans
The Enterprise Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Daphne Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Enterprise had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-13 win over Percy Julian at home. With Enterprise ahead 42-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Eric Winters and Keion Dunlap were among the main playmakers for Enterprise as the former rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns and the latter gained 162 total yards and three touchdowns. Dunlap was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Daphne on the road against Hillcrest on Friday as the team secured a 50-18 victory. Given Daphne's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Hillcrest is ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Enterprise has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Daphne, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
