Game recap: Washington stuns Austintown-Fitch

Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, Ohio) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 6 in Ohio, but was stunned by Washington (Massillon, Ohio), 34-14. Washington was ranked at No. 34 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Ohio coming into the week.

The Tigers were up 28-7 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.

Washington expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored once in the quarter on a rushing touchdown.

The loss snapped the Falcons' 6-game winning streak.

Led by Billy Price, Austintown-Fitch came in giving up 6.7 points per game this season. The Massillon school entered the contest giving up 19.0 points per game this year.



The loss comes after Austintown-Fitch defeated East 56-7 last week.

AF (6-1) will play a Freelance game against Marion Harding next week. The Presidents have put together a 3-3 record on the year so far.
