Softball Recap: Mt. Gilead Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mansfield Christian last Saturday, Mt. Gilead came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Northmor Golden Knights on Monday, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Mt. Gilead dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northmor, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Mt. Gilead will challenge Shekinah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northmor, they will take on Danville at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
