Softball Recap: Plano West Drops Season-High Score on Plano

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plano West). They skirted past the Plano Wildcats 17-16. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brooke Reasoner and Elyse Mikes did most of the damage at the plate: Reasoner got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Mikes went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Mikes a new career-high. Andrea Carrillo was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Plano West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Plano West now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Plano, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
