Softball Recap: Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] Comes Up Short

Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Clearwater Valley Rams, falling 14-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] of the 17-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Kairys Grant was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Laramie Finnell, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]'s record now sits at 0-4. As for Clearwater Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] will venture away from home to face off against Potlatch at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Loggers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clearwater Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
