Basketball Recap: Frontier Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Frontier Academy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 26) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans, sneaking past 50-47. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines who have now won four games in a row.

Frontier Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Carmichael led the charge by putting up 12 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Robles, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points.

Frontier Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Despite the defeat, Swallows Charter Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mike Vazquez dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Vazquez. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Garcia, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Frontier Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Swallows Charter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Frontier Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-51 win against Fowler on the 21st. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-41 defeat against Center on the 21st.
