Softball Recap: West Bend West Comes Up Short

Plymouth hit West Bend West with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-6 last Tuesday.

West Bend West has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Plymouth, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Looking ahead, West Bend West will take on Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Chargers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Plymouth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Bend East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
