Basketball Game Preview: North Branford Thunderbirds vs. Cromwell Panthers

North Branford is 1-9 against Cromwell since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The North Branford Thunderbirds will head out to square off against the Cromwell Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Monday, North Branford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to East Hampton. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cromwell put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over Valley Regional.

Cromwell's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for North Branford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

North Branford might still be hurting after the 63-43 loss they got from Cromwell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can North Branford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
