Landon Wilmes Has Career Rushing Day
Starting off the list is Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's Landon Wilmes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Wilmes rushed for 283 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory was the third in a row for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Wilmes and Worth County/Northeast Nodaway will head out on the road to challenge King City on Friday.

Levi Mcafee Turns in Season-Best Effort
Levi Mcafee produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Andrew to the win on Friday. Mcafee rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
North Andrew's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Mcafee and North Andrew are taking a road trip to square off against Stanberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Braxon Linville Makes It Two for North Andrew
Another North Andrew player making an appearance on this list is Braxon Linville. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 39 yards and a touchdown. The game was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
For the season, Linville has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 43.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

On Friday, Albany got the W thanks in part to Kyle Emerson playing the best football he has all season. Emerson picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
The win for Albany keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Emerson and Albany will head out on the road to square off against Pattonsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Albany Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Chase Cline
Chase Cline was instrumental in extending Albany's winning streak to seven on Friday. Stanberry had no answer to Cline as he rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Cline really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
For the year, Cline has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 103.9 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 20.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 55.43 rushing yards.
