The DeForest Norskies will face off against the Holmen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with DeForest sitting on seven straight wins and Holmen on 30.
DeForest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Sun Prairie West.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-15.

Kendall Johnson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five matches.
They weren't the only good servers: DeForest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.
If Monona Grove wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Holmen, they should've done a better job of containing Sadie Mayer. The Vikings put the hurt on the Silver Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday thanks in part to Mayer, who had 18 assists and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-13.
Holmen's victory bumped their record up to 30-0. As for DeForest, their win bumped their record up to 30-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: DeForest has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Holmen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
DeForest couldn't quite get it done against Holmen in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Norskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
