            Softball Recap: Easton Area Rovers vs. Bangor Slaters        
        
		
        
        
            Easton Area got themselves on the board against Bangor on Wednesday, but Bangor never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Slaters with a sharp  6-0 win. The Rovers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six  runs or more this season.

 Audrey Rinda made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent  for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than nine  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI.
 Rinda wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Gianna Koch, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  Koch a new career-high. Another  was  Kailyn Castellano, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Easton Area pushed their record up to 7-4 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bangor, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Easton Area will welcome East Stroudsburg North  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.9  runs per game on average), something the Rovers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bangor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palisades  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
