Baseball Game Preview: East Kentwood Falcons vs. West Ottawa Panthers

East Kentwood hasn't had much luck against West Ottawa recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. East Kentwood has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Kentwood is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Hudsonville, falling 12-1.

East Kentwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CAM SINGER, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, West Ottawa unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 4-1 to Grand Haven.

Quinn VanderKamp was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

West Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for East Kentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

East Kentwood suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to West Ottawa when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
