Baseball Recap: Riverdale Ridge Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Fork, Riverdale Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs.

Tyler Swan and Jayce Sanchez did most of the damage at the plate: Swan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Sanchez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Sanchez also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Jaxon Carabajal was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Riverdale Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Shady Side Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Riverdale Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Penn-Trafford on the 19th. As for Shady Side Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Brighton on the 19th.
