Silver Made His Presence Known in River Forest's 42-21 Defeat
Starting off the list is River Forest's Ayden Silver, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Silver rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
River Forest's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4. Silver and River Forest will take on Lake Station Edison at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mark Rowland Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Boone Grove picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Mark Rowland. Rowland showed up in a big way, throwing for 161 yards and five touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game.
Unfortunately for Lake Station Edison, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rowland. Rowland threw for 265 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes the last time he and the Fighting Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.
