Kole Becker leads a balanced attack to beat Tamaqua

Recap: Pottsville Crimson Tide vs. Tamaqua Blue Raiders

The Pottsville Crimson Tide came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Tamaqua by a score of 68-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pottsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kole Becker, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Becker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Alvarez, who scored 17 points.

Pottsville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Tamaqua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.

Pottsville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jim Thorpe at 7:30 p.m. Jim Thorpe has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for Tamaqua, they will head out on the road to square off against Lehighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehighton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 258 points over their last four contests.
