Recap: Hemingway Tigers vs. East Clarendon Wolverines

Sadly, the Hemingway Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They were beaten by East Clarendon 46-19 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Hemingway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while East Clarendon is ranked 116th).

East Clarendon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kierstin Woods out in front who scored 12 points. Hayden White was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Hemingway's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for East Clarendon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Hemingway will head out on the road to square off against Scott's Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hemingway comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for East Clarendon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carvers Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carvers Bay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
