Baseball Recap: Buhler Crusaders vs. Abilene Cowboys
There's no place like home for Buhler, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Abilene Cowboys by a score of 8-5 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Julian Morrison made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Morrison was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Buhler got a big performance out of Brayden Henry, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Henry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchel McDaniel, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
