Basketball Recap: Bayview Christian Takes a Loss

Bayview Christian lost against Lighthouse Baptist Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bayview Christian Seahawks were beaten by the Lighthouse Baptist Academy Eagles 71-44. The Seahawks were down 52-30 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Schott, who posted 24 points. Schott is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Varney, who had 23 points.

Bayview Christian dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lighthouse Baptist Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Granite Baptist Academy the next time they take the court. Bayview Christian will host Granite Baptist Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, while Lighthouse Baptist Academy will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
