Granite Falls extended their postseason success on Saturday against South Whidbey. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over the Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Falcons on Thursday, they had to take a 15-11 defeat.
The team relied heavily on Addy Haverfield, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Lachapelle, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
The victory made it two in a row for Granite Falls and bumps their season record up to 12-10. As for South Whidbey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.
Granite Falls has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Cedar Park Christian on the 17th. South Whidbey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
