Baseball Game Preview: Halifax Academy Knights vs. Oasis Christian Lions

Halifax Academy came up short against Central Florida Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 20-4. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Oasis Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Gulf Coast H on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the HEAT. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Oasis Christian got a massive performance out of Michael Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Troy Skinner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Gonzalez wasn't the only one making solid contact: Oasis Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulf Coast H only managed two hits.

Oasis Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Halifax Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
