Basketball Recap: Camden County Comes Up Short

Camden County played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the First Flight Nighthawks, falling 71-43. The Bruins have struggled against the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Xzavior Wiggins, who posted 16 points and six boards. Wiggins' evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Noah Chopek was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Brody Woods was nothing short of spectacular for First Flight: he went 6 for 14 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Woods a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Dobie, who had 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Camden County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for First Flight, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Camden County has already played their next game, a 65-37 win against Cape Hatteras on the 8th. As for First Flight, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-64 victory against Hertford County on the 9th.
