It's playoff time, and Brother Rice had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Brayden McKendrick looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brother Rice's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Brother Rice's victory bumped their record up to 35-3. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 23-14 record.

As of now, neither Brother Rice nor the Caravan have any future games scheduled.
