Volleyball Recap: Slippery Rock Comes Up Short

Slippery Rock was the 3-2 winner over Saegertown when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

Adison Novad paced Slippery Rock's offense, picking up seven kills. Novad got some help from Lexi Caldwell and her seven assists. Finally, Ashley Ragan kept Slippery Rock's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Slippery Rock's loss dropped their record down to 12-4-2. As for Saegertown, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-1.

Slippery Rock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Oil City on the 22nd. As for Saegertown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Corry on the 20th.
