Volleyball Recap: John Jay Extends Winning Streak to Five

John Jay waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Mahopac Wolf Pac with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolf Pac, too.

John Jay was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

Peyton Kellam paced John Jay's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kellam got some help from Margaret Bojarczuk and her 32 assists. Kellam was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

John Jay's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mahopac, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

John Jay has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Arlington on the 9th. As for Mahopac, they will challenge Peekskill at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
