Softball Game Preview: Mission Bears vs. Balboa Buccaneers

Mission hasn't had much luck against Balboa recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bears will head out to take on the Buccaneers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mission played against Lincoln back in March and lost via forfeit.

Balboa fell victim to Lowell and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The match marked the first time this season in which the Buccaneers were not able to get on the board.

Mission is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2. As for Balboa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Mission suffered a grim 23-5 defeat to Balboa when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
