Softball Preview: Serena Huskers vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners
The Serena Huskers will head out to square off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Serena is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
Serena proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out LaSalle-Peru 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskers have posted since March 25th.
Maddie Glade spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances.
