Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats vs. Saint James Trojans

The Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats will challenge the Saint James Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trinity Presbyterian has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Saint James will arrive with three straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Presbyterian duked it out with Prattville on Friday. Trinity Presbyterian fell just short of Prattville by a score of 5-4.

Cooper Bernier was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Saint James sidestepped Tallassee for a 6-4 win.

Saint James pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Trinity Presbyterian was able to grind out a solid win over Saint James when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 10-5. Does Trinity Presbyterian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saint James turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
