Basketball Game Preview: Spencer County Bears vs. Oldham County Colonels

The Spencer County Bears will face off against the Oldham County Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spencer County will be strutting in after a victory while Oldham County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, Spencer County took their game with ease, bagging a 55-20 win over Shelby County. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Oldham County ended up a good deal behind Owen County on Thursday and lost 59-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.

The victory made it two in a row for Spencer County and bumps their season record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points over those games. As for Oldham County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Everything came up roses for Spencer County against Oldham County when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-25 win. Will Spencer County repeat their success, or does Oldham County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
