Basketball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short

If Walker was feeling good fresh off their 51-19 takedown of Cross Keys two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines lost to the Wesleyan Wolves on the road by a 58-41 margin on Saturday. The Wolverines lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in January of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-12 score last time.

Walker has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Wesleyan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Walker and Wesleyan will both be playing Mount Vernon the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolverines will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
