Basketball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback had lost nine straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-19 to make it ten. They were beaten by the Cesar Chavez Champions 83-41. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Champions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 90-68 two weeks ago.

As for Cesar Chavez, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points over those games.

Cesar Chavez's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vinny Rodriguez, who posted 12 points. Dasaan Schaeffer was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Camelback has already played their next contest, an 88-46 defeat against Apollo on the 11th. As for Cesar Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-47 victory against South Mountain on the 11th.
