Minnechaug Regional took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against East Longmeadow, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans on Friday, sneaking past 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Spartans back in April, they had to take a 15-8 defeat.

Minnechaug Regional's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for East Longmeadow, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Minnechaug Regional has already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against Leominster on the 17th. East Longmeadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
