Basketball Game Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Ringgold Tigers

The Coahulla Creek Colts are taking a road trip to square off against the Ringgold Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Coahulla Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.

Last Tuesday, Coahulla Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 83-79 to North Cobb Christian. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Eagles are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Ringgold hadn't done well against Sonoraville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ringgold managed a 51-47 victory over Sonoraville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Coahulla Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Ringgold, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Coahulla Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Ringgold in their previous meeting back in January, winning 63-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coahulla Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
