Recap: Carter Green Hornets vs. Gibbs Eagles
The Carter Green Hornets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 50-46 win over Gibbs on Wednesday. This was payback for Carter, who suffered a 58-51 loss the last time these two teams met.
Carter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marah Yeo led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ivey Jones, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Carter's victory bumped their record up to 6-22. As for Gibbs, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
