Soccer Game Preview: Community School of Naples vs. Gateway Charter

The Community School of Naples Seahawks will face off against the Gateway Charter Griffins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Community School of Naples is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Imagine School at North Port an 8-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Seahawks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Gateway Charter made easy work of Sarasota Military Academy on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Griffins.

Roosevelth Marc and Bryan Cano scored all three of Gateway Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Community School of Naples is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those eight contests. As for Gateway Charter, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Community School of Naples took their victory against Gateway Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2019 by a conclusive 10-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community School of Naples since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
