Baseball Recap: Kennett Takes a Loss

Kennett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Sun Valley Vanguards. The Blue Demons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vanguards earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Cole Doherty was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Laboy, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Kennett's record now sits at 5-12-1. As for Sun Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennett will welcome Unionville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sun Valley, they will host Oxford at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
