Softball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Finds Home Field Redemption Against David Crockett

There's no place like home for Morristown-Hamblen West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the David Crockett Pioneers 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 1, 2024.

Briony Bunsic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Bunsic was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Bunsic wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kara Dyke, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Blayne Parker also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
