Basketball Recap: Jefriel Bacorro Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Westmoor

After losing to Westmoor the last time they met, Mills decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mills Vikings walked away with a 62-50 victory over the Westmoor Rams on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jefriel Bacorro, who went 8 of 9 en route to 17 points. Bacorro's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanay Rai, who posted 14 points and five assists.

Mills was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Mills' record is now 4-12. As for Westmoor, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Mills will take on South San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Westmoor, they will challenge Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westmoor is facing Capuchino at the right time seeing as Capuchino is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
