Basketball Recap: Lake George Comes Up Short

After flying high against Argyle last Wednesday, Lake George came back down to earth. The Lake George Lakers had to suffer through a 66-34 loss at the hands of the Granville Golden Horde. The Lakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

Lake George lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Max Hohman, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Hohman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Brown, who earned two points and 12 rebounds.

Lake George's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Granville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Lake George will be playing in front of their home fans against Hudson Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hudson Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season. As for Granville, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
