Baseball Game Preview: Springstead Eagles vs. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes

The Springstead Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springstead hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Springstead fell victim to South Sumter and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic came up short against Northside Christian on Friday and fell 4-1. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic got a good showing from Steele Thalleen, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

Springstead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
