Recap: Rochelle Hornets vs. Florence Buffaloes
The Rochelle Hornets can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Florence with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The win was just what Rochelle needed coming off of a 75-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Florence's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emerson Herring, who scored 9 points, and Klareece Arldt who scored 8 points. Herring scored a full 42.9% of Florence's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rochelle's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Florence, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Water Valley the next time they take the court. Rochelle will head out to face Water Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Florence will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
