Basketball Game Recap: Freeman Scotties vs. Lakeside Eagles

The Freeman Scotties were the 60-51 winner over the Lakeside Eagles when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Freeman fell just short of Lakeside by a score of 52-50. Freeman has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Freeman saw an underclassman step up: Taylee Phelps scored 24 points. The contest was Phelps' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Semprimoznik, who scored 12 points.

Freeman now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lakeside, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman will take on West Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. West Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Lakeside will be home for the holidays to greet East Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
