Baseball Recap: Wheatland-Chili Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Wheatland-Chili faced off against Webber on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in March.

Connor Hallock was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Miguel Gonzalez, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Wheatland-Chili's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Webber, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wheatland-Chili will square off against rival Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Webber is set to face off against their familiar foe Oakfield-Alabama at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
